CONNECT WiGLE / ONLINE DATA

  1. Open the account link below and sign in to WiGLE.
  2. Copy your separate API Name and API Token into the matching fields here. Do not paste your account password or the combined encoded value.
  3. Select USE CREDENTIALS, then move the map to your area and zoom to Z12 or closer.
  4. Click SEARCH AREA to load observations. Connecting does not start a search automatically.

Credentials are kept only in this tab memory and sent directly to api.wigle.net. Reloading the page clears them. To remove them now, select DISCONNECT.

Search requests consume your WiGLE quota. Results load only when you request them. Account permissions and WiGLE terms apply. No credentials are stored in the repository or localStorage.

MESHTASTIC

Choose a public source and press refresh. Click a cluster to zoom, then a node for its reported name, ID, hardware, battery and last-heard time where available. Public maps only include nodes reported to that source. A recent report does not prove a node is reachable.

If a public feed rejects the request, the error is shown. Import Meshtastic JSON instead: node arrays, Python-style node dictionaries, MeshMap nodes.json, Liam Cottle API responses, or point GeoJSON. Imported data stays in memory.

WI-FI SURVEY

Import a WiGLE-format CSV or API response JSON. Repeated BSSIDs are combined; the strongest recorded signal determines the plotted observation location. GPS coordinates in a survey represent observations, not a guaranteed access-point position.

For database data, connect your own WiGLE API credentials, zoom to a small area, then choose SEARCH AREA. Each request loads up to 100 results; LOAD NEXT PAGE uses WiGLE's pagination cursor. Nothing automatically spends your query quota. Zoom to level 12 or closer before searching. SSID filtering is exact.

MAP TOOLS

Search filters loaded records. FIND centers the first match. FIT DATA fits all filtered records, regardless of the table's view-only setting. MEASURE takes two map clicks and reports straight-line distance, not road distance or radio range. On startup, your browser is asked for location permission once to center the map. LOCATE ME retries on demand. Location is not saved or tracked. When the demo is active, its fictional markers are arranged around that map center; they are not nearby detections.

DATA + PRIVACY

No imported survey or API token is stored on the site. Exported GeoJSON includes the current filters and the view-only setting. A fictional demo loads on startup. The first successful file import or source load removes all demo records. Reloading the demo replaces current layers. Map tiles are requested from OpenStreetMap France for the area you view. The default tile service is for public, noncommercial sites with moderate traffic. Public-feed requests pass through this site's narrowly scoped Pages Function. WiGLE queries go directly from your browser to WiGLE.
